- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆THAT STAR ABOVE SHOULD HAVE A NEGATIVE SIGN IN FRONT OF IT!!HORRIBLE! I walked in to ask if my name was in their database as I had previously had my taxes done in another H&R office. The gentleman said yes, that all computers were combined and to sit down he could do my taxes right then. As we were walking to his desk I ASKED HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST. He asked me how many W-4's I had, to which I answered one. He told me it would be no more than $75.00. No sooner than I sat down he told me he forgot he had an appointment that was now in the office and shuffled me off to another person. She was very nice as she took my information. Because I was not prepared to have my taxes done, I did not have my day care providers EIN. She asked me if I could call her with that information the following day and she could complete my taxes. My tax preparation was completed in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES, PENDING AN EIN NUMBER. I phoned the office the next day and gave her the information. She calculated my taxes and gave me the information. She then proceeded to tell my charges for preparation of my forms was $223.00. Shocked, I asked how it was possible she came to that dollar amount. She said she had no control over the fees that the computer calculates that depending on what forms they fill out. I told her what the conversation was the night previous as well as the short amount of time it took her to do my taxes. She said the most she could do was talk to her manager and see what he wants to do. "BILL" the manager wouldn't even call me back himself, he had her call me and tell me "the best he can do is take $45.00 off my bill." I told her that was not sufficient and I would be contacting the corporate office. I am still pending an answer to my dispute.By A Google User, September 22, 2017
